This was the site of race #8 in the Texas State Championship Series. A really wonderful course, it's rocky enough to give your suspension a good run. The beginning of the course winds through the trees, and crosses the creek a couple of times, making entries and exits from the creek muddy affairs that were really goopy during the race. Once you get away from that, though, the rest of the course is high and dry... and rocky. The course was marked with red and yellow arrows for beginner and sport/expert courses. The sport/expert course is, of course, longer, and it's way more technical, with some places that most racers found it prudent to run through rather than risking injury from falling on the rocks. Some rocky hills offered challenges to the beginners. The fast sections of jeep roads were welcome relief in this ever-changing, fun course.
